Manually Install WordPress on Cpanel, Setup Subdomain, Database and More

Welcome to our step-by-step guide on manually installing WordPress on cPanel in 2024. Let's dive right in!
1. Login to cPanel:
Start by logging in to your cPanel account. Once logged in, navigate to the "Domains" section. Refer to the image below for guidance.Within the "Domains" section, look for the specific option for managing or adding domains. Click on it to proceed with setting up your WordPress installation. Check the image below
2. Creating a New SubDomain
After accessing the "Domains" section, proceed to create a new subdomain by clicking on the "Create A New Domain" button. Follow the steps below:
Now, set up the subdomain by entering the desired prefix in the provided field. My website name will be mywordpresssite.getmakedigital.com. You can name your website as per your wish.

You can see that the domain has been created and we can now install WordPress on the site.
Ensure accuracy in the subdomain name, as it will be an integral part of your website's URL. Once completed, please proceed to the next steps in our WordPress installation.
3. Configure Install WordPress
To install WordPress, the first step is to visit its official website and download the software. You can find the download link https://wordpress.org/download/.
Upload the WordPress ZIP file to the server in the subdomain directory, as illustrated in the image
Now, extract the files, and you will find a WordPress folder created. Navigate inside the folder and move these files to the domain path, as shown in the image below:
Go to mywordpresssite.getmakedigital.com now, and you will encounter the WordPress installation screen, as depicted in the image below:
4. Database Setup: Creating Database, Users, and Assigning Database to Users
Before proceeding with the installation of WordPress, we need to set up a database for it. Navigate to cPanel -> Databases, as shown in the image below, and let's begin the
- Now Follow these Steps
- Create a Database.
- Create a user for the database.
- Generate the password.
- Assign the database to the user.
- Copy the generated password and securely store it.
Now, let's proceed with the WordPress installation. Go to your subdomain and select English in the configuration. and click on Continue -> Lets Go
Next, enter the following details:
- Database Name
- Username
- Password
- Table Prefix (keep it as it is or make changes if needed)
Ensure that you do not change the host; let it remain as localhost.
If all your details are correct, you will reach the installation screen. Click on Run the Installation
Next, configure your WordPress site by providing the following information:
Site Title:
- Enter a descriptive title for your website.
Username:
- Choose a username for your WordPress account.
Password:
- Set a secure password for your account.
Email Address:
- Enter your email address.
Click on the "Install WordPress" button to proceed with the installation.
Once you have provided the necessary details and clicked 'Install WordPress,' you will be directed to the login page. Use the username and password you just set to log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. From there, you can start customizing your site and creating content. Welcome to your new WordPress journey!
